Varifocal and Bifocal lenses require specific measurements to be taken from the particular frame according to your own eyes. This means it can be quite difficult purchasing Varifocal & Bifocal lenses online to ensure they meet your individual requirements.
However, at myspecs.co.uk we have developed a method by which you can ensure your lenses are tailor-made.
When you place an order for Varifocal or Bifocal lenses, please continue through the secure payment sections as normal. We will then send the frame you have chosen to you via Recorded Delivery with simple instructions on how to measure the information we need. Then, all you do is send it back to our laboratory with the markings made on the “dummy” lenses, and we will process your order. After a few days you will receive your new spectacles.
Unlike other websites, we do not use a “default” measurement for all customers which means we can offer Varifocal & Bifocal lenses on ALL of our frames. However, we do recommend that you do not choose small frames (with width below 49mm – “see choosing the right frame” section) for Varifocal lenses. If we believe the frame you have chosen will not be suitable, we withhold the right to reject your order. This will enable you to either choose another frame or receive a full refund.
Your order may be considered for certain frames with Kodak Concise or Kodak Precise lenses as these are designed to fit smaller frames.
Varifocals
We recommend that if you have never worn Varifocals lenses before, that you have your first pair dispensed by your local Optician. This is because the nature of lens can make them difficult to get used to.
